British Council

A series of images created for the British Council to convey their refreshed Theory of Change (TOC).

The project began with graphic recording at a live event, working with facilitator Maureen O’Flynn to consolidate the information gathered in workshops with the British Council team. These outcomes fed into the refreshed Theory of Change and I worked closely with the BC to translate this narrative into clear and connected visual images. This included a series of rich-picture illustrations that depict key areas of interest and change, as well as an overarching image that interrelates the broadest themes providing a clear view of the TOC ‘big picture’.

LISTEN · DISCUSS · DISTIL

The process began with gathering the ideas in the room. Then the collected information was collated and refined before being transformed into a series of clear, rich-picture illustrations.

‘Blanche worked with us to support the illustrations  for the development of our global theory of change for social enterprise at the British Council. Blanche is incredibly intuitive working with topics and subject matter that were alien. She listens well and translates this into stunning drawings that have illustrated our work brilliantly. She is talented, perceptive and quick to take on feedback and make edits. A delight to work with.’
